‘Hama-gochi’ project
Hamada City has a special project to advertise nice dishes which use Hamada specialty produce. “Hama-gochi” means “Hamada” and “gochi (gochiso)” or “banquet” in English. Some restaurants created special menus which have an abundance of sea foods or other Hamada produce for this project. New Hamagochi book
A new Hama-gochi book was launched last summer. 34 restaurants, bars, and cafés are in the book and all of them serve a Hama-gochi menu for 1400 yen or 2800 yen. The book has an easy to read map, which shows where the restaurants are, so this might be helpful for people who want to go to Hama-gochi restaurants.
To promote this project, there is a stamp card. If you go to participating restaurants and eat from the special Hama-gochi menus, you can get a stamp from the restaurants. When you get three stamps, you can participate in a prize drawing. Every month, 10 people can get vouchers which can be used for the Hama-gochi menu. This project runs until March 31st 2013. Get stamps and then enjoy Hama-gochi menu again by the vouchers!
