Making pottery

You can experience making pottery in Gotsu. There are two kinds of ways to make pottery. One is by hand and the other one uses a wheel. It was the first time for us to make it, but we did well because the potter taught us kindly. It took around 15 minutes to finish it. It’s possible for people of all ages to make pottery . In addition, there was an earthenware display outside the buiding, and there were so many kinds of earthenware to buy at a discount. You can find chances to make pottery in Iwami Inaka Tourism programs every Autumn, or at individual kilns in the region.
