Kannanmiji temple (Iwami 33 Temple Pilgrimage)
Kannamiji Temple is the 11th on the Iwami 33 Temple Pilgrimage. It's in the Kawamoto area of Gotsu city and was established in 746.
Before the warring states period, this temple was located at the top of Mt. Watariyama (Kannambiji-yama), but it was destroyed by fire around 1570, and once again in an earthquake after the Meiji era. And so it had to be relocated to its current location.
Armour, dedicated in this shrine, is now designated as an important cultural property. Nowadays this armor is displayed in Imai Museum nearby.
Parking is available.
