Kanzeonji Temple (Iwami 33 Temple Pilgrimage)
The original Kanzeonji Temple burned down in 1800 in a fire which destroyed most of the town. However, it was reconstructed in 1860 . This temple is located on top of a rocky hill and was a prayer temple for the Omori government office to pray for prosperity of the silver mine during the Edo period.
The twin Nio statues at the gate were rebuilt in 1980 because of their deterioration. This temple has a great view of Omori below.
