Kumagai House

Kumagai House belonged to a merchant family with an old history, dating from 1729. It was one of the most powerful merchant houses in the Iwami Ginzan area, serving many functions such as checking annual tribute, running an inn for officials, and serving as a residence for government officials.

The houses displays many of the tools used at the time, the style of the rooms, and historical documents related to them.
