Shimane Aquarium AQUAS

Aquas is an aquarium in Hamada city.

You have to buy an admission ticket at a vending machine before you go through the entrance gate, or you can speak to someone at the ticket office. If you are going to visit more than three times in the year, be sure to get an annual pass. If you have kids under elementary school age, this is particulary recommended because they can enter free on your ticket.

The entrance fees are as follows:
Adult: 1,500 yen
children (under high school students): 500 yen
Pre-school and under: free

There are approximately 400 species (about 10,000 totally) of marine life.
If the timing is right, you can see the performance by seals, sealions, beluga, and so on. You can also see hear about the penguins and see various creatures being fed.
